In today's lesson I got together with my groups and discussed a new story line for our opening sequence. We felt our final idea lacked narrative enigmas so decided to rewrite and adjust it to fit within our genre.
The storyline is as follows:
1) Black screen as credits show
2) Muffled sounds of family play
3) Long shot of door as opheillia walks in
4) Speech between mother and Opheillia
5) Flashback of foot
6) Montage of family talking
7) Flashback of leg
8) Sing happy birthday to ophilleia
9) She makes a wish
10) Mother; "make a wish sweetie"
11) Blows out candles
12) Flashback of body
13) Cheers and claps muffled as we are within opheillias thoughts
14) "what did you wish for?"
15) "It wouldn't come true if I told you"
16) Flashback of body
17) Shots of family in kitchen
18) Cutting into cake
19) Flashback of blood on body
20) Flashback of killer walking away
