Today we re watched the credits in our opening sequence we felt they didn't convey a real horror genre. After talking to other groups in our class we felt using live type was a better idea. Choosing a bold font that had cracks in appealed to us as it shows the real girls personality being broken down. Along with the font we were able to try effects which portrayed our genre. We ended up choosing cracked which made the font flicker in time with the music. We also reproduced our logo credit 'Distortion Pictures' as yet again it lacked the conventional horror theme. Finally we put all the clips together and made some of the party scenes darker to get a copy of our opening sequence. We used the colour correction effect on final cut express to darker the brightness and remove the saturation. After watching it over we decided to cut out 20 seconds from the start were Isla (Ophelia) walked into the house. We felt it broke away the tension and added a element of comedy which we don't want in our final piece.
The last thing we did to our Opening sequence was add a echo effect to the party sceanes. This gave it an eerie atmosphere which built up more tension. This led us to finishing our opening sequence!
